THE CELLARS FOR THE WINE AGING IN TONNEAUX AND BARRIQUES IS FINALLY READY
The ancient rooms completing the underground spaces of Villa Spinosa were improved
July 27th, 2017
The rebuildingof the old cellar, once used for the very large casks, is almost done and this roomis going to welcome tonneaux and barriques for the aging of the Villa Spinosa’s wines.
As it is in the tradition of Villa Spinosa, this is a work of improvement of the ancient cottages which respects the original structure, preserving and enhancing the historical context, while adapting it to the new production needs.
The tufa walls of the ancient rooms have been cleaned, bringing the original color to its bright, the floor has been restored with the local "Pietra della Lessinia" stone, thus bonding to the tradition of our land whose soil gives us such a precious material, well known all over the world for its beauty, as well as grapes from the vines, meant to be ambassadors of the Valpolicella wines in the world.
This project of Villa Spinosa allows to get the 'natural' aging cycle of the wine, divided into four different spaces, from the area dedicated to steel tanks, through the two cellars for the aging in tonneaux and casks and then concluding the process with the aging in the bottle before the marketing.
